Why is the building called "The Carriage House"
The building was once owned by the first Mayor of Englewood, Edwin Brinckerhoff. Our building dates to the 1850's and was used as a carriagehouse for the horses and carriages of the Mayor. The Womans Club has been at the site since 1895
How many events do you have per day?
We have one private event per day.
How long is the rental period?
The rental period is a total of eight hours. We allow three hours for the caterer to set up and five hours for the event.
How do I reserve a date?
We require a $300.00 non-refundable deposit to reserve a date. We have only one event per day – so the dates tend to book up quickly.
Is there additional time slotted for cleanup?
We allow one extra hour for the renter to remove all items from the premises. The caterer will clean the kitchen during this time.
What is the maximum capacity that is allowed?
The maximum # that we allow is 100 people including the bride and groom and any children.
What does the rental include?
The rental includes the building, the grounds, tables and a brown-metal chair with a padded seat.
Does the rental include tablecloths?
No. The linen is usually handled through the caterer. We also have linen companies which we work with.
May I bring in my own caterer?
Yes. You may use any caterer that carries General Liability Insurance.

May I bring in my own disk jockey?
No. The Club is located in a residential section with a noise ordinance, therefore the disk jockey must be hired from our approved list. We have a link to their websites on the section of our website.
May I bring in a Band?
Yes, There are no restrictions on Bands or musicians
